Eoin Colfer
Author
Wexford native, Eoin Colfer is the author of the best-selling Artemis Fowl series of books famously described as "Die Hard with fairies". The former primary school teacher also has a string of other successful books under his belt including The Supernaturalist, Half Moon Investigations, Benny and Omar and the swashbuckling high adventure novel, Airman.
In 2008, Colfer was asked by Jane Belson, widow of Douglas Adams to write the sixth installment of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. The book entitled "And Another Thing...." is due to be published in late 2009.
