Anthony Horowitz is often referred to as the busiest writer in Britain. In addition to the highly successful Alex Rider books (worldwide sales of over 8 million), he has also written the Diamond Brothers series and a number of other children’s books including the Groosham Grange titles. His latest book “Necropolis, the fourth installment of “The Power of 5” series is again aimed at a teen market and returns to the horror genre that Anthony explored in earlier books such as “Granny” and the “Horowitz Horror” short story collections. Anthony has also written fiction for adults including “Killing Joke”.

He has written episodes of several popular TV crime series, including Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Murder in Mind, Midsomer Murders and Murder Most Horrid. He is also the creator of the widely acclaimed television series Foyle’s War.

The film version of Alex Rider, Stormbreaker was released in 2006 starring newcomer Alex Pettyfer in the title role with a supporting cast including Bill Nighy, Mickey Rourke, Alicia Silverstone and Robbie Coltrane.

Currently with the next Alex Rider book is in the pipeline, the fifth “Power of 5” book and a new series of Foyle’s War on the way it’s unlikely that Anthony will relinquish his position as “Britain’s busiest writer” anytime soon.
